An Amazing Year

Weight at birth: 8lbs 7.7oz Weight at 1 year: 24lbs 8oz
Length at birth: 21 inches Length at 1 year: 31 inches

Aidan got an A+ at his 1 year checkup yesterday.He's in the 80th percentile for both height and weight. And today he has a snotty nose, low grade fever and sore gums. Poor guy!! We were going to go see a puppet show today but have decided to take it easy. Took a bath this morning and played with his new birthday toys (thanks everyone!). I'll be making carrot cake muffins today and will post pictures tomorrow. :)

At one year, Aidan can:

crawl
walk
climb stairs
safely climb down from the bed
use a spoon fairly successfully
use a sippy cup (he finally learned to tip it!)
say a handful of words
identify puppies on anything you show him
use three signs (more, all done, nurse) consistently
work the tv, vcr, dvd player, remote controls, light switches, and anything else that has buttons or levers
clap
point
pick up specks of dust - haha
follow simple directions (put the ball in the box)
"brush" his teeth
sit on the potty
stack two or three objects
dance
give kisses
call Annie's cell phone. :)

We are so very blessed to have had even a day with our precious little one. The blessings that a whole year (!!!) have brought couldn't possibly be described with words. We love our precious boy.
