He is showing himself to be every bit little boy and no longer baby as the days go on. He surprises us with new words every day (most recent are "eggs" and "turtle"), and has started showing more enthusiasm over "favorites" and more preferences toward specific foods and actvities.
The poor guy has 4 molars coming in all at the same time and has needed some extra love and attention. He wants to be on someone's lap or next to someone on the floor and that has led to lots of putting puzzles together, coloring, stacking blocks, and reading.
He finally loves books! He's read all of the dozen or so books we checked out on Tuesday at least twice. His favorite is a book about trains. He choo-choos and want us to read it over and over again. He got to see daddy get on an amtrak train last Saturday for a trip to St. Louis and can't get enough of trains now. :) He's also finally discovered airplanes and cars. Whatta boy! :)
Here are a couple of fun pictures of his recent antics:
One of the nurses gave him hair and shoe covers to play with during our 4 1/2 hour wait for grandpa's surgery to be done.

He loves daddy's (mommy's) ipod!
He discovered yarn and wrapped it all around himself and everything else. :)
All this mess from one tiny square of chocolate! :)
