First Royal's Game

The Barr family experienced our first Kansas City Royals baseball game last night. Understandable for Bob and Aidan to not have been before, but pretty sad for Rob and I who have lived here for 7 years now. :P

We couldn't have asked for better weather - it was in the 70's and clear the whole night. I had forgotten how much fun baseball is and thoroughly enjoyed the part of the game that I saw. You know, the parts when Aidan wasn't climbing over seats, stairs, people, etc. and where the "men" weren't throwing peanut shells at each other or tying the poor pastor's sweater into knots while he was away buying food. Ok, so those parts were pretty fun, too. ;)

We had to leave before the fireworks (very sad) b/c Rob had to work today, but no runs were scored after we left, so we didn't miss anything too exciting otherwise. The Royals did well but didn't win (do they ever?). They had 5 runs in one inning!! Guess that drained them though. Game ended Rays 8, Royals, 7.

Very thankful for church friends (specifically Denise) who organized the evening. It's always nice doing things as a group.

My favorite moment was when the Royals hit a homerun and Rob yelled "Touchdown!"
