Prayer Request

Part of the family health struggles that I alluded to in an earlier post struck the newest member of our extended family in a heartbreaking way. Our cousins Garrick and Briana welcomed little Molly Kathryn a full month early on July 30th. She was a tiny 2lbs, 7.7oz and 14 1/2 inches long. She was delivered by cesarean after Briana's water broke. They went on to discover that Molly is a Trisomy 18 baby (she has an extra 18th chromosome) and has multiple heart issues that they won't be able to operate on. Molly is currently in an incubator for a good part of the day and is using oxygen and a feeding tube. She is hanging in there at 3 weeks old!! Her mommy and daddy have had the blessing of seeing her eat from a bottle, wear "real" clothes, and use a pacifier, but they are counting every wonderful moment as they know they will have to say goodbye much sooner than they would like. Please pray for little Molly's continued development and that every moment she's here is a beautiful one. And pray for Garrick and Briana that they would be encouraged in their faith and strengthened by His love and the love of those around them. You can click the picture of the little sweetheart up there to go to their blog.
