Christmas Activites

Catching up on all of the fun we've had this last week!

Christmas Day
:

We were snowed in!!! Yay for a white Christmas! Unfortunately that meant no Christmas Eve service, but we enjoyed the time hanging out as a family. Aidan loved his presents though I don't think he had a clue what was going on otherwise. Here are a few pics and a video of of him opening his gift from Great Grandma Olive:

We did make sure to let Aidan enjoy the snow a bit. Rob spent some time shoveling for the other residents and then got Aidan all bundled up to join him. He loved the snow - until he got some in the face! :) He continues to ask to go out in it though, so I don't think he was too traumatized.

Day after Christmas:

Still snowed in! We had planned to go out on the town that day since Rob didn't have to go into work, but the snowplows forgot about us! There was really no way our little cars could have made it out of the driveway let alone navigate the snow-packed streets, so we had an adventure on foot! Thanks Kim for suggesting it and motivating us to get out there! Plenty of warm shops open downtown to enjoy!

12-27-09:

Happy Birthday mommy! And yay for clear(ish) roads! The dashing husband spent forever digging our car out and while our Sunday worship service was unfortunately canceled (no one had cleared the parking lot of the school we meet in), we were able to make it to downtown Kansas City for a WONDERFUL day! We started with brunch at Bristol (a gift) - which was delicious and Aidan couldn't get enough of their decor - and then ended up at Union Station and Crown Center where Aidan got to see more model trains than I think I've seen in a lifetime. Good times had by all. And overall, a wonderful Christmastime!

Love the snow pics of you 3 outside. We loved Union Station, too...I'm sure it will become a yearly Christmas tradition!
