We stayed nights at Rob's other grandma's (Olive) house. It was lovely to spend so much time with her and Aidan loved her house. she has a little coffee table at the perfect height for him and she let him eat copious amounts of graham crackers from it. Olive is so spunky and fun to talk to - I really see where Pam (Rob's mom) got some of her sense of humor and her strength. Everyone misses Pam and it was wonderful to spend time talking about and remembering her with others who loved her. She would really adore Aidan.

Aidan snagged some pretty adorable outfits from family that I can't wait to get him in to. He also grew about a foot and became a little boy right in front of our eyes it seems. He started "dancing" the day after Christmas (I still haven't gotten it on video), perfected the "hello" and "bye bye" waves, and got braver and braver with his walking. He fell quite a few times and landed some nice battle wounds (like next to his eye in the picture below), but he had fun doing it! He also slept a full SEVEN hours one night! That's the longest yet and appears to have been a fluke, but even so... :)

He did very well overall - even in the car. There was just about an hour near the end of our trip home that he couldn't take sitting anymore. Rob entertained himself by taking pictures of Aidan's misery. poor guy!

Tomorrow I will post links to all of the photo albums for 2008 and you'll get to see much more of the trip. For now, a video:
