Good morning! Wanted to reassure family and friends that we made it back from St. Louis without any problems, started moving into our new apartment, and then God gave us a day of rest! Well, two actually. Sunday was wonderful - our church had her particularization ceremony despite the weather. We are officially Christ Convenant Presbyterian Church instead of Mission. It has been amazing to see our church grow and mature over the last 3 years.
And today, God have us another day of rest!!! The ice is thick enough outside that we're not going anywhere. :)
There's no electricity at the library, so Rob can't go into work. We had eggs and warm biscuits for breakfast and there's chili in the crockpot for dinner. I'll spend the day packing (as usual it seems, haha) and drinking decaf coffee with eggnog creamer. :) :) :)
If you read this, do think of all of those who aren't enjoying themselves quite as much as we are. Even if our power went out I'm sure we'd be set for a long time with no problems (other than internet withdrawl), but there are reports coming in from all over the midwest of people in serious peril due to this storm. Pray with us for them, and thank God with us for our current safety. And stay warm!!
